Primary Group - Progression Puppy Course

For dogs with basic skills who are ready for more structure.

Take your dog’s learning to the next level! This course builds on foundation skills with:

• Stay put with confidence – Building solid sit and down stays using duration, distance, and distraction (the 3 D’s)

• Understand and switch between cues – Teaching sit, down, and stand through food lures, hand signals, and verbal commands

• Respond calmly and quickly – Using a positive interrupter cue to redirect unwanted behaviour

• Build body awareness and impulse control – Through eye contact games in heel position, a new leave-it challenge, and a calm, cue-based settle

• Develop trust in novelty – Shaping their way to success with the plant pot confidence game, which lays the groundwork for cone of shame and muzzle training

• Drop it like a pro – Teaching reliable item release on cue
